Khaliq Khan, D.D.S.
Dr. Khan was born in New Orleans. He attended Loyola University in New Orleans and Northwestern University in Chicago. He went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Dr. Khan is married and his hobbies include watching the NBA and NFL, playing a wide variety of sports and traveling. HeÂąs dedicated to continuing to enhance his knowledge and skill in the dental field in order to best serve the local communities he loves.

Joseph R. Lacoste Jr., D.D.S.

Dr. Lacoste was born and raised in the New Orleans area. After graduating high school from The New Orleans Academy in 1972, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans. He then went on to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 1980.

Dr. Lacoste is a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the New Orleans Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He always finds time to be with family and friends, and enjoys fishing and playing music.

Katherine M. Schier, D.M.D.
Dr. Katherine Schier is a general dentist at Louisiana Dental Center. She was born and raised in Indianapolis. She showed an interest from an early age in both art and science. She knew dentistry would be a perfect way to combine these passions. She went on to study at Vanderbilt University where she earned her B.E. in chemical engineering. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2015 with honors. She is actively involved with the American Dental Association (ADA).

She decided to further advance her dental training by completing a 2-year general practice residency in New Orleans. She is excited to be part of the LA Dental team and eager to serve the greater New Orleans community. She is interested in working with patients to develop their oral health and achieve the results they desire.

Dave Colburn, D.D.S.
Born and raised in Chalmette, Dr. Colburn is a resident of Algiers. After graduating from Holy Cross High School, Dr. Colburn earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from LSU School of Dentistry and then completed a 2-year General Practice Residency at Charity Hospital. He is a member of the New Orleans Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Colburn is also a member of both the Crescent City and Spear Study Clubs. He is a member of the Algiers Rotary Club where he served 2 years as president. He is married to Jamie Michelli Colburn and they have 2 daughters, Ashley and Emily.

Mark Tinney, D.D.S.
Dr. Mark Tinney was born and raised in St. Bernard Parish. He attended Brother Martin High School and graduated from St. Paul School post-Katrina. Dr. Tinney earned an undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from LSU School of Dentistry, and is an avid hunter and fisherman.

Jeffrey Wiggins, D.D.S.
Born and raised in Slidell, Dr. Wiggins is a proud lifelong resident. A Slidell High School graduate, Dr. Wiggins earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the LSU School of Dentistry. He is a member of the New Orleans Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is married to Amy Hall Wiggins and they have 2 sons, Brandt and Cole.

Ryan Matherne, D.D.S. – Endodontist
Dr. Matherne was born in Lockport, Louisiana, in the heart of Lafourche Parish. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of New Orleans in 1995 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from LSU School of Dentistry in 1998. He also performed a General Practice Residency in the United States Navy in 1999 and went on to receive his certificate in Endodontics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. Dr. Matherne served 10 years active duty as a Navy Dental Officer, with deployments to Spain and Guam. He is a big fan of LSU and Saints football.

Jeffrey Snitzer, D.M.D. – Periodontist
Dr. Snitzer has been practicing periodontics for over 25 years. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Washington University in 1983, and his certificate in Periodontics from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1985. He enjoys playing tennis and golf.

Timothy Poyadou, D.D.S. – Orthodontist
Dr. Timmy Poyadou was born in Venice, Louisiana, a small fishing village on the Mississippi River delta. Combining hard work and dedication, he had great success at a number of professional endeavors early in life, including professional Horseman and owner of a seafood distribution company. Dr. Poyadou received his undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Following graduation, Dr. Poyadou completed an Orthodontic fellowship at Jacksonville University in Florida before being accepted into a two-year residency program. During his fellowship, he earned his Florida dental license. After working for two years in private practice there, Dr. Poyadou decided to return home to Louisiana, where his heart is.

Dr. Poyadou has presented cases across the country at American Association of Orthodontists meetings and clinical research for the Southern Association of Orthodontists. He has earned national awards for his outstanding treatment outcomes with Invisalign patients and is a certified provider for Incognito Lingual Braces. Dr. Poyadou is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Louisiana Dental Association, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Orthodontic Vanguard Society.

Believing happiness comes from a holistic approach to life, Dr. Poyadou has immersed himself in activities from coaching little league baseball and volunteering for Boys and Girls Clubs to working with the American Red Cross, the Special Olympics, and making mission trips to third-world countries. By providing the highest-quality treatment using the latest and most comfortable technology in orthodontics, he continues to exceed the expectations of his patients.
